Dan Wilson is beginning his 35th year as an educator and his 7th year at Frankfort-Elberta Schools.  He holds Bachelor and Master of Music Education degrees from Georgia State University and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern Mississippi.  He served the public schools of Georgia as a band director, assistant principal, curriculum coordinator, and administrator of a Performing Arts Center.  Upon retirement from Georgia, Mr. Wilson moved to Northern Michigan in 2006 and became the music teacher/band director for FEAS.  His bands, both in Georgia and Michigan, received consistent recognition for superior performance.  Mr. Wilson has been married to his wife Kathy for 32 years.  They have two daughters:  Brittany, who is a music teacher in Illinois, and Sarah, a nurse in Louisville, Kentucky.  They also have two grandsons, Alex (age 3) and Matthew (age 5 months).
